Our Story

J.W.B Books is an independent UK online bookshop specialising in second hand, vintage and antique books across a wide range of subjects.

The business was founded in 2007 as J.W.B Coins & Collectables, starting out with coins sold from a small room in student halls. A passion for history, particularly Scottish history, was behind it from the very beginning. Over the years, the business grew into a full-time operation covering coins, banknotes, medals, postcards, antiques and more. As the range expanded, so did our interest in vintage and antique books, and J.W.B Books was born as a dedicated shop for book lovers.

Today, we run both sites together as a husband and wife team.We now stock a carefully chosen and regularly updated selection of books, from early editions and illustrated volumes to well-loved classics and harder-to-find titles. Every book is individually described and photographed, so you know exactly what you are getting before you buy.
