• Condition - Large books.  Original roan-backed cloth boards.  Rubbed/ minor wear, particularly to corners.  Bumped top corners.  Some minor staining to boards. Both volumes have wrappers for original parts bound at end of book.  Volume I contains  'Instructions to Binder' (on pink paper) also at the rear.  Gilt title to spine.  Top edge gilt, other edges uncut.  132 fine chromolithographic plates after watercolours by Alfred Parsons, R.A and 15 plain, full-page illustrations, all after Alfred Parsons.Some minor staining/foxing to pages but the majority remain clean.  In Volume I a tanning mark has been left on two pages from what looks like a tape shape.  In volume II pages 437-444 have detached from binding but all others remain well bound.
